Further Information

Bangkok

The airport has a 600,000 square metre Customs Free Zone and 14 warehouses that employ the very latest in logistics technology. Raw materials and parts imported into the country for assembly can be exported expeditiously without passing through customs. In addition to speeding up supply chain management, customs free zones are considered outside of "Thai customs territory" and allow for the importation and subsequent export of goods without being subject to import taxes or other duties. Taxes only apply once the goods enter Thailand for consumption.

The main automotive route to the new airport is via an eight-lane road linking the terminal with the Bangkok-Chonburi highway, in addition to connections with the Rom Klao and King Kaew Roads, Bangna-Trad Road and Burapha Vithee Expressway, as well as a connection to On Nut Road.

Additionally, a rail connection will be established between Suvarnabhumi and Makkasan train station in Bangkok within the next one to two years, offering passengers a mere 15-minute transit to the city.
